lothbrok
Son as i was re-reading prosperro burns this afternoon i came up with a new theory for why we hate those dastardly inquisitors. as i'm sure most of you know prosperro burns says that the wolves were created as the "ultimate sanction" for traitors to the imperium a roll that in the 41st millenium is most frequently filled by the inquistion. Do you lot think this could be the root reason why we hate the inquistion so much? that the inquistion stole our job. Grimtooth
No. I think it is because of their blatant disregard for humanity which goes against everything the Wolves were taught. Jonas Stromclaw
I'm with Brother Ramses. Its not so much that they've stolen our specialty (they haven't), its just we've got an itch to execute our specialty on them, see? Prot
No. I think it is because of their blatant disregard for humanity which goes against everything the Wolves were taught. Agreed. Plus I don't think they really stole the Wolves job. They fill a very different niche. commander alexander
Agreed. Wolves have a sense of honor. =][= Doesn't give a rats backside about innocent lives, even if they don't pose a potential risk. We do. Captain Idaho
Problem with the theory is it assumes the Space Wolves are concerned with what other people think, are so insecure in their abilities they worry about others perception of them and aren't great at their job. All of those things are untrue; Space Wolves are famous for doing what THEY think is right, they are very comfortable in their combat prowass and are one of the most successful Space Marine Chapters going. Sorry to reject the theory so emphatically... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230153-a-wacky-new-theory/#findComment-2764494 Share on other sites
Eric the Green
Dey took our jerbs!! Derk a der! Sorry, south park reference. Couldn't help it. But I'm with the other posters, I think we dislike the Inquisition because they're a big part of the reason the Imperium is generally known as the Nazis of the 41st. Decoy
To be honest, I think it's not even what others are saying. I just think the Wolves don't like the Inquisition getting all up in their grill, so to speak. If I had some organization breathing down my neck, watching what I was doing, waiting for a mis-step while investigating my personal beliefs, I'd give 'em a smack and tell 'em to back off, too. I would torture them cut them up in pieces and feed them to the wolves alive. Brother Crazywolf
I feel that the Inquisition has its place as a investigative and research branch for rooting out and understanding heresy, but they have a tendency to get high handed at times. The Wolves, on the other hand, tend to have a more refined approach for lack of a beter term. We look at the greater picture much more often and see the needs of the Imperium in a different light. There is a chance for a sort of redemption in our ways instead of a complete and systematic massacre of those who were not given the chance to the "right" thing when survival was at stake. I do not feel that the Inquisition took our job, but that they have a different approach to they same matter. More of a sledgehammer philosophy. LOL Sorry back on topic, The Wolves don't play by anyone's rules, not even their own (sorry another cartoon reference but appropriate here lol).
