Ravenwing Battleforce

Hey everyone, just wonder what are the options for the land speeder in the Ravenwing Battleforce box set. I'm kinda nervous about buying one, mostly I want the flexibility to make Typhoon's instead of standard HB/AC right now. HB/AC is great but I want to fill out my fast slots with 3x Typhoon wondering if 2x Battleforce bot set's can get me ahead without being stuck with just HB/AC.

the only thing it does not offer for DA is the underslung heavy flamer.

one box has 3 sets of typhoon ML's one on each of the upgrade sprues it also has the kit to make 3 master of the ravenwing LS(pieces to make TL assultcannon and TL bolter)

As for the speeder it is the old/first plastic land speeder sprues which did not have the underslung heavy flamer or assault cannon or the Typhoon missile launchers.

The upgrade kits make up for the Typhoon missile launchers(x3) and underslung assault cannon(x3mounts x6assultcannons x3lights cus the mounts have 2 points)but not the heavy flamer.

Nether the new or old landspeeder sprue have the underslung heavybolter/multi-melta or the passenger heavy flammer. (to my knowledge as I have only seen Googled sprues from the net for the new speeder)

Remember though, that you can only upgrade one speeder in a squad in the DA codex. :teehee:

One of the reasons I've started using C:SM for my mixed wing lists

That is why the current trend (now that Typhoons have been updated) is to just run 2-3 separate LS Typhoons. I believe that is the OPs intention as he said "fill out" his fast slots. You may not have the durability of a squadron, but you now have the versatility to hit multiple targets that may be in completely different places on the board.

One of the ideal load outs now, Typhoon with Multimelta, from the DA codex is also 35 points cheaper than C:SM equivalent.
