Then why have companies? Have the Chapter pick names out of a hat then! So when a chapter goes out they send a company with a couple of other company guys? That seems completly idiotic to me. I could see sending five companies to total 800.

 

They'd send one or two Battle Companies, plus parts of Reserve Companies, as a general rule. That's what Reserve Companies are for, really. Bigger missions, add more. Smaller missions, send less.

 

 

See that makes sense to me. So I'm going to change it to 1st company full of vets (on every quest some join in kinda like Reserves), 2-5 Battle Companies, and 6 as a Reserve. And no NightRawenII they won't be sitting on their arses because I believe more then one quest can happen at the same time so figure Quest 1 Companies 2-3 (some vets and guys from 6) and at the same time Quest 2 Companies 4-5 (some vets and 6 yet again). If it is major then Companies 2-6 and still some vets from 1 since you want to leave some defenses for their home system.

Okay I'm going to ask before I shoot this time:

 

1) Is there a way to do a vanilla chapter without using Ultramarines or any successors?

2) How are Marines chosen to become new leaders for the foundling Chapter?

3) Change Dark Eldar to Eldar, make sense?

 

So pretty much Origin questions since that is the hardest part for me. Plus let me clear up certain issues:

1. Duchies will be changed to just describe their lifestyle ect.
   
2. Ebenum needs to make animals make more sense (@NightRawenII just got the capitals thing sorry)
   
3. Reword Combat Doctrine

Okay guys I've decided to stop trying to write this and save it for the summer. Not sure how many of you are still in school but it is becoming quit frantic where I live. Plus I'll do some research over the summer and try to read others to help mine become better. Thank you all for your time. And hopefully I come back better, stronger, and maybe with a new Chapter name/ color scheme.

Because of administration and organization issues. But technically speaking the formal organization has low to zero bearing on the formation of Task Force.

 

Isn't there a nicer way to put that! Yet it does make a bit of sense.

First thing I don't get what you're trying to achieve. Maybe predictability or just everyone does that? Once again you managed to find the worst way to say something you might as well just come out and say it straight. Plus I swore there was a guide made by Octavulg on how to properly critique. But how foolish of me to expect you to have read that. :)

Ultramarines are as common as dirt plus I want to do something that is totally different.

 

Thanks for that chart that is very useful. The DIY Guide says Fist gene-seed is second most common yet your chart says first. Is it based on what others have done?

 

So I'm going to research some of the other chapters and pick which one fits my personality. I'm pretty much scrapping this whole idea till I get a better perspective of what founding Chapter I want. (And yes I know that Space Wolfs are a no go, always hated vikings except for new Thor movie :P).
