Orphus
Does jaws require a target or does the player just choose a point 24' away? Also, are any units caught in jaws that are in cc taken as casualties? I think it doesn't need a target and units in cc are hit but I just need evidence as my Necron opponent is being thick :jaw: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230241-jaws-through-combat-target/ Share on other sites

Nrthstar
However, as we discussed recently, Jaws can hit targets in combat as long as it's not your original target. Be careful, this can affect ANY unit. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230241-jaws-through-combat-target/#findComment-2765903 Share on other sites
Spacefrisian
And no you cant jaws a unit behind that combat, the first legal model must be in front of that combat. Hear da Lamentation
Agreed with all posts. Basically you have to target someone within 24" - and that model has to be "legal" to target. The line extends from that person, 24" away from the RP in a straight line. Â As also mentioned ... if they are on an upper tier ... it won't affect them at all. Stormbrow II
I think it doesn't need a target and units in cc are hit but I just need evidence as my Necron opponent is being thick Yes it does need a target. Yes it can go through combat. Â Here's the link to my blog and here's a thread that came up recently here on B&C that also shows you how the above works. Â Now go and make that Necron player hate Jaws more. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230241-jaws-through-combat-target/#findComment-2766762 Share on other sites
FenrisWolf
The latest FAQ explains this rather clearly. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230241-jaws-through-combat-target/#findComment-2768056 Share on other sites
Orphus
The latest FAQ explains this rather clearly. That was one of the issues. It wasn't that clear at all...but then I realised something a day or to after- as a Psychic shooting attack it needs a target, doesn't it? :) :whoops: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230241-jaws-through-combat-target/#findComment-2770061 Share on other sites
FenrisWolf
Yes, you need a legal target at first - not in combat, in line of sight. Then the power affects all models on the line continuing from that target out to 24 inches.
