Master Avoghai
Hi there, as promised in my WIP topic, I post the result of my work of this 6 last months : being able to field a 10000pts Dark Angels army at GD Paris to face a huge ork army. Both included a giant Titan which were built from scratch by Hellbrandt Grimm and his teammates and became the attractive pieces of this event. So here's the pics 1st, my 10000pts army : http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2423.jpg Then forces were deployed: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2432.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2431.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2428.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2427.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2429.jpg mmmmh who are dat green marines boyz? http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2440.jpg And let's fight!!! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2472.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2464.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2453.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2483.jpg That was a great battle though hard to handle with so many players (about 10players for imperium and 6 for the orks)... none of the titans were killed, the imperial one lost all his shields + 1 structure point and 1 weapon. The Ork one only lost one structure point. But their weapons were => <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230339-10000pts-battle-at-gd-paris/ Share on other sites

Isiah
Great models Master Avoghai. Are you in any of those pics or were you safely hidden behind the camera? Bringer of Redemption
You neglected to mention who won. We need to know if the Sons of the Lion were victorious or not. That looks like it was a great deal of fun. I'm glad to see that all of your work paid off. --BoR Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230339-10000pts-battle-at-gd-paris/#findComment-2767351 Share on other sites
Master Avoghai
amazing titans too. Yeah those Titans were THE attraction of the GD. That was a little problem by the way, because to prevent any accident and "mini kidnapping" the table was surrounded by metal barriers... So lots of people thought that the table was the GD diorama and not a playable table :P :) Next year, my friend who organized the table, plan to do an epic battle at 20mm scale :P Are you in any of those pics or were you safely hidden behind the camera? Nope here I'm holding the camera... I was the war reporter :D But you can see me in the table installation topic I've made on a french forum : click here You neglected to mention who won. We need to know if the Sons of the Lion were victorious or not Well it's hard to say actually since the goal for both army was to destroy the enemy titans and all were up at the end (including the stompas and the warhound) So it's a draw with maybe a moral victory for the orks since the warlord was more damaged than the mega gargant Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230339-10000pts-battle-at-gd-paris/#findComment-2767530 Share on other sites

Master Avoghai
Yeah it was great fun, though totally exhausting : we arrived at 8:30 door opened at 10:00, took a pause at 13:00, back at 13:45 and finally left the place at 18:30 after packing everything... I just regret that none player knew specific chapter's prayers to answer the regular waaaaagh of the facing side. 4 more pics by the way : http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMG-20110522-00122.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMG-20110522-00123.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMG-20110522-00124.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Masteravoghai/GD%20Paris%202011/IMGP2478.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230339-10000pts-battle-at-gd-paris/#findComment-2770599 Share on other sites

Brother Kovash
Those are some awesome pics, glad to see the DA represented well. OF course, there's nothing wrong with a few hundred orks running around the field as well. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230339-10000pts-battle-at-gd-paris/#findComment-2780112 Share on other sites
