Grey Mage
Still doesnt actually say that you can fire it like that - it just means that if you were to target that particular model, any friendly model between the two would be affected. Blast weapons affect any model touched by the template - friend or foe - you still cant target that enemmy model if it would also hit a friend. If JotWW is the same mechanic as a vibro cannon, then does this have any relevance? A. As a psychic shooting attack, Jaws of the World Wolfrequires line of sight. The Rune Priest must have line of sight to the first model that the power affects – in effect he is treated as the target model; the power just happens to hit everybody else on its way through! So if your eldar model is the first one hit then its an illegal target. Unlike blood lance, wehre it specifically states that friendly models are not affected. No. There is a significant difference in that Jaws isnt dealt with like a vibrocannon- theyre different items, with different sources and effects. This is much like the difference between psychic hoods and shadow in the warp. Interrogator-Chaplain Ezra
Really? Hmmm that must make them a remarkably unique weapon then. Cant think of any other weapons that function that way. However, it appears that I'm wrong. Thank-you Idaho and Ezra for providing relevant quotes. Next time, I suggest you take a peek in the relevant Codex. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230342-vibro-cannon/page/2/#findComment-2769658 Share on other sites
Leonaides
Now why would I go and do something like own a codex for an effete dirty xenos scum race who's rightful place is beneath my big fat power-armoured boot? Thoroughly busted... :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230342-vibro-cannon/page/2/#findComment-2769682 Share on other sites
Chengar Qordath
Now why would I go and do something like own a codex for an effete dirty xenos scum race who's rightful place is beneath my big fat power-armoured boot? Because knowing what tricks the dirty xenos scum races have up their sleeves makes it that much easier to crush them beneath your big fat power-armored boot. Plus, it can be handy if you're up against an opponent who doesn't know (or creatively interprets) their own codex.
