As for the rest of the thread, your painting is gorgeous! The blending is very smooth, and your finished squad has great richness to the colors. Well done! sugar-free Posted May 28, 2011 Author Share Posted May 28, 2011 my golds are all games workshop paints. the trick is the flesh wash. after i do all my highlights i do a deep flesh wash over it and after its dry i do a final highlight with Reaper-brass. i also usually black line it. also all my marines have assault legs. i just made a cut on the back of the bent knee and stretch the leg out. then used some green stuff to fill in the back. blacks are highlighted with codex grey and fortress grey. but my first highlight is 50/50 codex and chaos black. then codex and then fortress. sometimes i will mix alittle white with fortress to give that model that extra bam. ok. some i am going to try to change the nips but im screwed on the pose. thanks all. Love the gold nips too, i imagine them cast from the shell casings of his first and thousand kill respectively also imagine the awkwardness as a guard comes face to chest of the marine and struggles to maintain eye contact as the nips slow draws his attention.As for the pose low gravity walk me thinks.
