Kassill
So I just got the greenlight for using Mythicast wolves at one of my local stores where I attend most of my tourneys, and Im super stoked! Im going to start of getting the Mythicast Hero pack to make a Wolf Lord and Iron Priest and a 5 man pack of Wolf Cav to make T-wolves. Any tips you guys can give me about these models and resin in general? First time working with it. From what I have read they seem like pretty good molds with some slight GS work that may be needed for minor patching. Anything else I should know? Cheers and thanks wolf brothers! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230443-thunderwolves-ho/ Share on other sites
HvitrValdyr
I just got my mythicast wolves on Saturday. Fine sculpts, minor cleaning (done) and patching (to do) work required. A few of the feet dont line up flat but thats the biggest problem. FenrisWolf
I have the five pack and I think they are quite nice. As mentioned, only minor cleaning required and mine only had two small broken pieces (one ear, one paw). Growler67
THIS ONE was just spotted and mentioned on another forum. Looks like a great candidate for an Iron Priest mount. Thanks, but the Hero Promo Pack I ordered comes with a mount I can use for an Iron Priest and has cyber wolves. So I just officially ordered them about 5 mins ago, I am super excited! And the other cool thing, free shipping! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230443-thunderwolves-ho/#findComment-2769659 Share on other sites

A lot of bubbles to clean off, nearly every one of the wolves legs needed to have their sockets carved out a bit and greenstuffed on, and the rider legs are lacking in detail and seem a bit warped. Again, I'm happy but expect to do a bit of cleaning and greenstuffing. Tons of little bubbles that were a pain to remove, plenty of GS filling and some creative basing in order to fix the fact that the legs don't sit flat. The Space Marine legs are also a bit goofy on a couple sculpts. The waist of the Space Marine is too small. It's not a huge deal, but it is noticeable if you look close. That said, the sculpts are quite nice once they get cleaned up. I actually just finished assembling 4 of my wolves, and you can see the results here: http://rkik.wordpress.com/2011/05/25/wip-thunderwolves/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230443-thunderwolves-ho/#findComment-2770612 Share on other sites
