Papakeno Posted May 24, 2011 Share Posted May 24, 2011 Hi I'm new to this forum but have been browsing for a while. I just started painting miniatures. This is my first finished miniature; a khorne berzerker. I have 11 more to paint and I will post them later on as well. On my upcoming miniatures I will try to use more layered fading and get a deeper feeling of the colors (I hope). Been studying painting miniatures on youtube and here on this forum :) Please feel free to leave criticism and feedback if you'd like! EDIT: Added new pictures in the first post. 14/6 I have finished my 3rd mini now, that's the top one of the pictures (I don't paint that often :D). I like this ones color scheme so I will be doing it on the rest of them. C&C appreciated! 17/6 The fourth one is done and I'm really happy with how it turned out. My camera isn't the greatest (using mobile phone lol). Thanks means a lot! As I said I have been studying how to paint miniatures. Watching youtube clips, pictures etc to get some basic knowledge of how to. Papakeno Posted May 28, 2011 Author Share Posted May 28, 2011 Thanks guys. I had some problems with diluting the colors. Maybe someone knows why? They tend to separate from eachother in 3 layers. One layer distilled water, then some transparent-gluelike-whitish substance and then the pigment on the bottom. I use Vallejo Game Color. Happened to anyone before? If you keep this up in a few years you'll be winning Golden Demons. My first mini was an Ultramarine way back during Armageddon. Primed him white, it showed through in every crack. Looked like :cusse. These my friend, are awesome. Loving the scarring on the faces, very convincing. Keep it up, I'm looking forward to more. It has taken me some time to paint them though. Been watching Lester on "awesomepaintjob" to learn stuff. Really appreciate you think they are nice, thanks for the compliments. I will be working on my next 8 with the same colorscheme as the last one and since I have found the one I like the rest should be up soon! :) Cheers!
