[Commission] (Custom Chapter) Sanguinary Phalanx HQ

Recommended Posts

Considering the Master took around 35 hours, and the others are looking to be about 12-15 hours each, it's still under minimum wage. For the standard though, it's about what the market dictates. Not a game to get into if you're looking to get rich. :-)

I remember a guy a while back at an art exhibit saying something along the lines of "the only rich artists are dead ones." Kinda made me laugh, but sorta feel bad.

Really like the way these guys are looking. Never been a big fan of BA, but these models are awesome. Lets hope the client understands the quality he is getting and gives you a tip to go with it.

More progress. I'll build the wings up to off-white, as on the chapter master. Little bit of cracking / chipping weathering to do. I think with the base finished this should look quite nice.

That is... a fair wad of cash, I must say. But you get what you pay for. Sterling work, brother.

All too true I'm afraid. I was lucky if I could manage $5/hour om my conversion commissions. Even then, clients would balk at the quoted price. Art takes time, and time is money. :wallbash:

Ok... think this is how they'll be. Think client feedback is needed before I do the rest...

More progress. The apothecary's done. Next up is another 'normal' spear and shield guy, before moving onto fun stuff like the champion and standard bearer.

I can't really put in words how awesome these all are. Whatever your client is paying you, you should probably charge twice that much XD

Seriously though, both painting, conversions and that knack for composition that pulls it all together make these absolutely outstanding.

At first I thought the banner was a bit bare, but putting a more complex image on it might have caused it too get lost among all the bling. Now it stands out, which is kind of the purpose of a banner, so that's awesome, too.

Well, I put some words together, but still, wow. Seriously.
