The collectors edition for Space Marine has now been announced and will feature a 10" replica Purity Seal, a glossy hardback art book, the official Space Marine soundtrack, a premium pack of 25 character information cards and a copy of the game!

There will also be exclusive pre-order bonuses available, you can find further information about these here.

Really?

Different bonus content depending on purchase location?

I may not even buy it now.

Its becoming a more and more common gimmick. I know they did the same thing with the various Fallout games.

That being said, the ability to play as Emperor's Children and Iron Warriors is enough to sway me into pre-ordering it I think.

Or ya'know, you wait for it to pop onto Steam then buy all the gimmicks in one go. Look at Retribution: same story. See, easy ;)

It's already on Steam. It does not have all the gimmicks. In fact, the Steam offer has the lamest one: a Blood Ravens coloured Mk7 armour. Not even any embossed BR iconography. Easiest solution this time is that Game.co.uk offers the Emperor's Elite and Traitor Legions packs together, for some reason. So at least UK customers can get four skins instead of just two.

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

WHY WHY WHY WHY!!?? would you do this to me Cpt Jaun?? WHY!? :)

*sigh* well with a little neophyte on the way - and looking for an new house, i probably wont be able to buy this...... as much as i would love to!

sometimes i hate being addicted to this hobby! especialy when they bring something like that out!

now if you'll excuse me i need some pshi-reconditioning to forget about this post and that collectors edition!

Some time after release I bet all the preorder content will be up for individual purchase. I'll be getting it from GAME, where I preorder everything <_<

Sorry for double post but just thought if I get the Collectors Edition does that come with all the DLC or anything?

I know, dude, but it doesn't stop my irrational hatred of it

I was looking on the GAME website and there was an edition called 'Elite Armour' that comes with the pre order armour, I was wondering if the collectors edition also comes with the pre order armour ?

Elite Armour is one of the pre-order packs.

Where you pre-order decides what armour skins you'll recieve.

Ok, thanks

I am really confused.

I want to order this game and get the Emperor's Children skins

I am tempted by the collectors edition.

How do I get

A) the skins

B) the skins and the collectors edition

??

I really have no idea.

I thoiught Amazon UK had the skins, but they don;t seem to.

Now it seems Game has the skins but they are not part of the collectors pack!

What do I do?

Please help.

•The Elite Armour Pack, only available at GAME and Gamestation, includes the unique Space Wolves, Black Templar, Iron Warriors and Emperor’s Children chapter armour skins.

Pre-order from either GAME or Gamestation to get the required EC skin.

It's not irrational. Stuff like this is bad for the consumer, cause what happens if you want two of the bonuses? They might be made widely available as DLC later, but it doesn't always happen. It also means that someone starting a new business as a game seller is disadvantaged because they won't have these shiny bonuses, so business competition is lessened. Again, bad for the consumer.

I'll be honest, I never knew you could preorder games at any of those locations, the least of which is Blockbuster. Once the locations are confirmed (because the previous announcement said all different locations) then I'll preorder it.

I was reviewing this more and it seems like you can only get the 4x chapter/legion skins from UK locations. In the US they've split it into a loyalist and a traitor bonus at two locations.

I'll still have to go with the traitors though, sucks I can't get all four.
