Rule question - Justicar Thawn

So I had a bit of a brainfart and thought I was all clever when I wondered about what would happen if Justicar Thawn were to suffer from a PotW while being inside a land raider. As I was about to ask in here, in all seriousness about the implications of his "I shall not yield" rule, I realized that his psychic powers are all used in the assault phase and are very unlikely to be used while riding a transport.

After having facepalmed myself; I was still wondering if someone were too, hypothetically speaking, cast hammerhand while riding in a land raider (like, for the lulz) and suffer a perils attack and fail the invul save... What happens to the model? Does he remain in the tank until he rises? Do you drop the model where he died? Is he removed from play?

I know it's a stupid question but I have a tendency to do silly things so might as well know what I could get myself into.

EDIT:

And looking up the rules for hammerhand, I now know that it is cast after the assault move and therefore cannot be cast while being inside a vehicle. You may point and laugh as I double facepalm myself. I shall leave this up as a testament to how posting without thinking makes you look like a fool. I recognise my failing and will be sure to correct it.

They'd throw his carcass out of the assault ramp before it stinks up the place.

But yeah, normally a Psyker that suffers a Perils of the Warp wound, or a Plasma gunner that suffers a Gets Hot, etc, would just die if it was his final wound, no rule issue there. The only current unresolved rules issue is what happens if that casualty means the squad took 25% casualties and has to take a Morale test while still embarked. Do they auto-pass? If it fails, do they disembark? Etc.
