Firenze
Not bad!! What program is it done in? It reminds me a little of Google Sketchup (black outlines). I've used a few other programs in the past, how you finding that one? Battle Captin Torodin
I've not heard og Google Sketchup, the programme ive used is Catia. Its what we use at work, ive been working on this during my lunch breaks. the black lines is a 'view' option, i find it more pleasing to the eye Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230729-mars-pattern-warhound-titan/#findComment-2773410 Share on other sites
verpine
Very cool. When you're done will you be able to feed these into a laser cutter or similar and make a warhound? Battle Captin Torodin
Thanks for the comments guys. unfortunately not, my company doesn't do anything along those lines, this is more of a 'build my own skills' exercise i am glad you seem to like it :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230729-mars-pattern-warhound-titan/#findComment-2774260 Share on other sites
Stroganoff
Even if your company doesn't, there are companies out there that you just email the 3d part files to and they'll make it on their 3d printer/ laser sinter machine for a fee. Just watch out for that whole copywrite thing. That's how the guy from Dream Forge makes his stuff before casting. Chapter Master Ignis Domus
Please, make at least one of these. It should be relatively easy, since you've got the files. Battle Captin Torodin
Hmm, might be worth looking into. i have used 3D printers in the past and if they are anything to go buy it might be cheaper to get another forge world one ;) anyway im glad you guys like it Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230729-mars-pattern-warhound-titan/#findComment-2775563 Share on other sites

Battle Captin Torodin
Right then chaps, i have nearly come to the end of my modeling now, only a few pipes and wires and things to add so i thought you would like to see the work so far. i decided to change the color so that its easier to see and its quicker to change the part color than the background color for some reason. anyway without further a do, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230729-mars-pattern-warhound-titan/#findComment-2785275 Share on other sites

onlyme
Sorry, what do you mean by "rig it" ? cheers Ok rigging is the process of adding bones to an object so it can be animated - if you want to develop your skill look into it... Battle Captin Torodin
oh i see, a dynamics skeleton (thats what work calls it) yeah there is one built into the legs, im trying to get it working but its just trying to fit enough fiddle time in my lunch breaks ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230729-mars-pattern-warhound-titan/#findComment-2785451 Share on other sites
winterdyne
I wouldn't try and add a skeleton if that's the base model pose. It's much easier to model with the thought of adding a skeleton in mind, then use the skeleton to pose the model.
