Space Hulk

Here is something we have been working on for a while. The pics were taken a while ago, and we have been building it over a couple of months, as and when we have had the time to do so. :D We were using it (while it was WIP) in a local Armageddon Campaign of our own, based on ADB's Helsreach novel (which you may have seen the Ordinatus built).

It is made up of wood as a base: Plywood base with 1" thick walls. Putting 2 walls gives a 2" thick separation between rooms, which feels right, rather than paper-thin walls. The 1" makes it nice for measurements, so we can have some form of uniformity.

Hmmm Ill upload it as I find the pictures....XD Oh wait, you meant the schedule for it? Hmmm let me try my best to recall.

1 week to order the wood, cut and delivery. We spent the the (arrival)day itself sanding, gluing, screwing... well basically the assembly. All the pics you see are within the day itself. We did a couple more pieces the next day but not much more. Oh... this is the 'easy' part...XD

Manpower wise... that's the most you will see in one place at the same time. 4 of us to do the assembly. The detailing took a LOT of time. All these were done in the day, the next 2 months went to detailing. And that is pretty much me working at it *almost* every night, with 2, maybe 3 nights, and 1 weekend day with help from one of the guys. My girlfriend stepped out as she isn't exactly very strong in the detailing area.

I went for wood as I really do want to 'keep' the pieces. Space is a commodity here, so the stuff needs to be kept and stacked up. Without structural strength, it'll get damaged easily, which is not an option for me, especially with the amount of work to be put in.

All in all, its enough to fill an 8'x4'.

Next to Exterminatus, the fluffy ducky of death is the most heinously overpowered weapon that the Inquisition has ever deployed in anger..... :thanks:
