tyrannosaurus Posted May 28, 2011 Share Posted May 28, 2011 As a long time lurker and occasional poster on people's minis I thought it was time to put up some of my own. Hopefully this will inspire me to finish my army. Will start a WIP thread as well. Always loved noise marines since my older brother bought 'the one with the guitar' when I was little. The purple and pink ones are the latest ones, the black and pink ones are the first minis I painted ever. The ones I'm painting up at the moment are pink and green to differentiate squads. I haven't really set myself a completion date as I don't game anymore [40k died a death at my old gaming club with Warmachine and haven't gotten around to gaming at my new place]. I know these aren't the best you've ever seen but they are the best that I can do - not gonna strip any as I want a record of how my skills have improved [if at all :P]. Anyway here you are, let me know what you think. Did you work from a White basecoat? Thanks dude - Yeah white basecoat, two coats tentacle pink, then 50/50 white/tentacle on all the bits that wouldn't be in shade, then white edge highlights. First couple were worked up from black but I ended up needing about 8 coats of pink to get the effect I wanted [a really bright 'Hello Kitty' pink ]. Yeah I agree, yellow didn't come out as I planned - was thinking of doing hazard stripes on the tubing but I get 'Liberace Hand' when it comes to painting so that might come at a later date - glad you think I achieved TT standard :D I like these.....they hurt my eyes to look at....proper slaanesh. Cheers dude! The bright pink isn't to everyone's taste but I like it and it looks pretty good on the tabletop. I like the old school clashing colours style for Slaanesh. Brother Dakath Posted November 23, 2011 Share Posted November 23, 2011 I would have to agree with Plasman and Schultz, though I would say they do look good right now, but a light wash would bring the detail so much.
