Blood Angels take on Necrons

I am currently testing out variations on what I call Blood Angel Jump-ish armies, armies with jump infantry and normal infantry support units (scouts and devs). While being completely infantry, it isn't totally DoA, so I have called it jump-ish.

 

In my latest game, I took on a very solid Necron player. You can see the full outline of the game on my blog, Gone to Ground.

 

This was my first game against Necrons and it really does seem like they suffer greatly from geriatric codex disease. Though there are definitely some cool parts to the army, it lacks low AP and high strength ranged attacks. It also doesn't have many ways to mass power weapons of any sort. Ultimately, it is a lacking codex. I discovered this first hand.

 

Has anyone else found this to be true?
