Well hello there, wolves!

Id like to apologize if this post is in any inappropriate but I just thought Id introduce myself and my own little wolf collection to this forum.

Ive been here on the fang as a guest for months now, since I started with my wolves a few months ago, and I must say not only has it been very educational to a Blood Claw such as myself to visit the TBC's Fang, but also very entertaining (Forte, Greenhorn, Mavs and the rest of the whelps come to mind... :)

Anyways, You can call me Rikochet, its what I choose to call myself in places like this since my Long Fangs never quite seems to hit what I aim at, instead being led by the dice gods to hit something else, not unusually something of my own.... like a ricochet.

As far as my army goes, since I got started with this list, I havent lost a game and Ive had quite a few games in the local GW store here in Fremantle, Western Australia. I havent been in any tournaments yet tho so Im trying not to let it go to my head!

My 1750 pts list goes:

HQ

Priest - Chooser, Jaws and LL or MH

Elite

5 Terminator WG - 2 Combi-melta, 2 Combi-plasma, 1 Cyclone, 2 WC, 1 Chainfist, 1 Frost Axe, 1 PW

3 WG - Combi-melta, Power Fist

Troops

3x 8 Grey Hunters - Meltagun, MotW, Standard

3x Rhinos

Fast Attack

2 Landspeeders - Heavy Flamer, Multi-melta

Heavy Support

2x 5 Long Fangs - All missiles

1 Landraider - Sometimes i use it as a godhammer and sometimes redeemer, magnetized!

Hope Ill find my place here!

no nrthstar are you trying let him run away put arez back on his leash or we are going to loose him

Welcome Rikochet to the Fang.

1 thing though.only my pack and anyone grey hunter and up can call me greenhorn

also you should come to the sparring thread.its lots of fun and improves your fighting prowess

@Rikochet, welcome to the Fang little brother :D

@Arez, LOL even the new whelps will call you greenhorn, you have no control over it.

Welcome to the Fang! Expect beatings over the head from us greybeards' canes and power walkers. :D

bahhahaha I like how after a few months your a self appointed greybeard all of a sudden :P... :(

To be honest, I started out as a DA player five years ago, because there where too many of the other chapters, including wolves. I wanted to be unique, so I did the dress wearers because no one else did them. I quickly realized it was so overshadowed by the codi of the new edition, so I to floated over to vanilla, and then ended up over here, where within one codex, my army and myself can be what the bloody hell I want! Enjoyed it ever since :D
What exactly would classify someone as a greybeard? Time in forum or number of posts?

http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...27208&st=25 pg2 and pg3 sums it all up. But honestly, in my personal opinion, the majority of the "REAL" greybeards here at the Fang, are in this post... http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=131338 those are OG's (original gangsta's) right there!

and dont let Mav catch you checking out his girl, he is pretty mean with a thunder hammer.....
he's pretty mean without the hammer too you know ;) but indeed welcome to the fang whelp!

@mav girl: simply love it you remembered a topic that was started like 2-3 years before you even joined the fang! shows quite some dedication honey! and now wanders off incase mav heard something :)

haha Mav pointed that old thread to me, and honestly reading through old threads using the searchy helped me get more of an idea about Space Wolves. I'm told of course that Bran is excluded in that old thread, there are allot of you greybeards!
@maverik_girl I have been a part of the board for quite a while, just haven't been active for a few months. You'll notice we "grey-beards" have been wielding our canes and walkers to good effect in the brawl.

Aye! you have been part of the B&C board for a while, and there is no question about that. But correct me if I'm wrong, your not so long ago of a wolf player, to be calling yourself as one of the greybeards  but what do I know? I'm but a claw, and a proud one at that. Enough to bare my fangs now and then, to senior members of B&C if deemed necessary  earning my place and rank amongst the Sons of Russ.

Member of the board, and fang for 2 years now? More than that of lurking, which doesn't really count.

alright, so when did you come-over officially as a SW player in the Fang? cause I can't find any threads using the searchy, from you as a user in the Fang dating back 2yrs ago

LOL, I'm just yanking at your tail Alex, for some reason I can smell a newb wolf player in your blood. You sure bark allot, but in the Inglorious thread, you stay pretty far away from all the other Claws. It's a shame the Claws aren't all in full strength there, because I'd sure like to have a crack at yah *if the dice gods be willing*

--EDIT--

and by crack, I mean beat you senseless like a true wolf, and Blood Claw that only knows how

I like to think of someone as a grey beard is related to how long they've actually been playing space wolves. I, for example, don't have a very high post count because I normally don't have very much to say. But, I've been playing space wolves since the begining of third edition. That was what, 12 or so years ago?

@Rikochet, welcome to the Fang!

that's all fair, and good! I think the problem is, more about someone just coming in out of the blue and saying I'm a Greybeard, or Wolf Lord because I've been playing Space Wolves since this, and that many years. While some people here might be thinking "umm who are you? never heard of you until now, thanks" posting out of the blue, and expecting other people here to acknowledge/respect you all of a sudden kinda deal.

For me, it's not about how long you've played Space Wolves (because I can honestly think of allot of people here, who have been playing Space Wolves since late rogue trader days) and it's not really about how many post you have under your belt, I think it's more about making an effort to be a part of the Fang, and the SW community.

We do things different here at the Fang! and people get to know you through camaraderie. I mean, look at the current Blood Claws we have and their threads. From their sparring and constant fooling around, to the tales and sagas that they've earned. There are allot of smart SW players here, and talented people who do amazing work on their models. It's things like these, that make many people want to keep coming back here at the Fang. You honestly don't see that anywhere else, especially on other astartes forums. Not to mention, we have some of the best mods watching over us. That's just my two cents!

I've been playing Space Wolves since second edition, having a full set of Space Wolf metals from back then too (some of which were unfortunately... converted). I've been a member of this board for longer than it's been in this format, making the changeover back in 2002.

I'd class myself as a greybeard, as much as anyone who shaves regularly can be anyway.
