Dexo
Hi I was wondering can all great company fluff wise take "Bjorn the Fell Handed" or do he belong to a specific GC ? Wulfebane
Dreadnoughts fall under the current Great Wolf's company, so they're for any company's usage. YoungWolf
Yes all dreadnought go under the Great wolf but Bjorn belongs to the company of Russ ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230956-bjorn-the-fell-handed-great-company/#findComment-2776915 Share on other sites
commander alexander
hendrik pointed out in another thread that he noticed the Firewolf, Kjarl Grimbloods current sign on his shinguard in the codex, and it is certainly there. Although I believe he is now part of the great wolf's company, he had the firewolf as his sign when he was a wolf lord., so I would like to think he helps with Grimbloods company more often than others ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/230956-bjorn-the-fell-handed-great-company/#findComment-2776941 Share on other sites
Wulfebane
Bjorn came before Grimblood. Just because Grimblood has the Firewolf emblem doesn't mean he was the first. Aside from Ulrik, Bjorn is the oldest "living" Space Wolf known. *EDIT: Oh, I misread that. You're saying out of pride for his former company, he joins Grimblood in his current state moreso than other companies... Where that may be true, I don't think his emblem has been verified. In this image he's sporting the Deathwolf emblem (currently Erik Morkai's), and either Deathwolf or Firewolf (or other depictions) are more than likely the random aesthetic choices of the illustrator that created the piece rather than an "easter egg" divulgence of canon lore. Sarapham
One would think that Björn personally would wear the Great Wolf´s symbol most often, because that after all was Leman Russ' personal banner. Schertenleib
I would imagine that the walker may be painted to match whatever GC he has been assigned to before he is fully awakened. As he is encased in the sarcophagus he may not be fully aware of what is painted on his exterior. So let's hope he doesn't get assigned to help Jonas and his Bloodclaws. I can only imagine what Forte or Greenhorn might paint on the back of the Old Wolf.
