At LEAST 2 more packs of Long Fangs. You have a sizable army, so only one pack isn't justice enough. And remember, we can have 6 to a pack now, not 5. ^_^

I agree with hendrik regarding a land raider (crusader, probably) and the land speeders. Don't get me wrong, I LOOOVE scouts, but tactically, land speeders are amazing. Here's some helpful tips to guide your choices.

I would suggest the following in order of most importance.

Long Fangs. You're really selling your army short by only having one unit. I would highly suggest at least one more. A lot of people won't like playing against 3 packs of Long Fangs but the relevence of this depends on how competative your area/friends are and whether or not you give a care if they whine. Devistator boxes only give 2 missile launchers I believe, which sucks... however, if you have your bits from your Rhinos, Razors or pretty much any Space Marine armor you can do what I did and use the HK missiles! I shave them down so there is that small piece that sticks out and looks like a sight for them to look through and the rest of it was shaved to be a more or less straight barrel (there is a little nub you have to take care of) Ask your friends too if they play Space Marines. I only bought one box of Devs to make my Long Fangs and that was for the 2 Lascannons.

Speeders. Dude these things are awesome. Such a good unit in an army like the Space Wolves. We really are water warriors and I feel should be played like that! Yeah, we're awesome at drawing the enemy in and counter assaulting but there is a time and a place to be aggressive as all hell and Speeders give you mobility and flexibility to compliment that of your massive Grey Hunter squads (I love these guys too, I almost always run 4 units of them)

Preds or another Heavy Tank of your preference. The heavy slots we have are really great. I will take 3 packs of Long Fangs if my opponent won't gripe all day about not being able to put 10 Heavy Bolter equilavent shots onto each unit at some point during the game to cripple them (you know, like a competent person would do....) But if not, having two wouldn't cripple any scores at a tournament so I feel it's fair but you should definitely look at another heavy choice. Preds are pretty cheap and resilent. They can lay down good anti-infantry as well as really good anti mech if you choose to arm them like that.

Thunder Wolves. I haven't actually used these yet but I have a similar collection to what you have and I'm looking at getting these two. How could this unit not be fun to play?

Good luck, brother

  1. At least one full unit of missile launcher Long Fangs (I bought the ML bits from various online bit stores such as bitzbox, bitz and kits, and bitzbarn but often they're sold out so just had to keep checking back. thewarstore always has stock because they just order the kit and take it off the sprue but then it's more expensive. Also trade with / buy from friends).
  2. Two land speeders
  3. If you like, a Land Raider Crusader for the Blood Claws + Wolf Priest squad

Sometimes I'll use more than one Rune Priest but then again, all my Rune Priests I built from the Space Wolves Pack sprues in the battleforce.
