chromedog
Give both sides a light sanding before attaching them (the 'underside' that is attached to the model, and the topside which is the side facing you.). It will help both the glue to bond them (superglue works for attaching them - but be sparing of it - you don't need it gushing out around it) and the paint to stick to them. PRIME them before painting. Use a PROPER PRIMER, not GW's overpriced spray paints (Chaos Black is NOT a primer.). Red Fury
I've used the BA etched brass. It glues really easily and if you get ANY slipping out from the sides get rid of it quickly! The brass is so thin that any glue will obscure detail. Be sure to use thinned paints because you can loose detail in a hurry if you just paint from the pot. I like it. It's easy to use, glue, and paint. Just use scissors to cut the pieces from the brass "sprue", It cuts real easy and leaves a nice clean edge. There are 2 brass pieces in this WIP shot: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231026-fw-etched-brass/#findComment-2778907 Share on other sites
