Eikrem
I like them, very clean painting. Where is Krakentooths head from? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231073-rylanors-wolves/#findComment-2778678 Share on other sites
Brother Rylanor
- Eikrem, Krakentooth's head and right arm are from a beast men sprue i had lying around. i had to trim the horns and add green stuff to make the hair something which i discovered i dont enjoy as sculpting hair that doesn't look like a green blob is not easy. in small games he will be a Lone Wolf, with mark of the wulfen (and a storm shield points permitting), in bigger games he is to be a counts as Ragnar. cheers for looking. Eikrem
You got any other Wolves completed or in progress? A whole army of your guys would look pretty impressive. Max_Dammit
They look great, the skin tone is a bit dark for my taste but they look great overall Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231073-rylanors-wolves/#findComment-2778908 Share on other sites

Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
I love your wolves Rylanor!! Great poses, very fluid looking!! Where is the Lone Wolf's 'chain fist' from?? Is it just a standard chainsword, it looks longer... Seth's weapon?? I'll be looking forward to more updates from you!! End of Line I just wanted to say that I am officially stealing that LW chainswaord idea!! Sorry, and thank you!! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231073-rylanors-wolves/#findComment-3077987 Share on other sites
Kassill
Fantastic force you have here! Please though, if you have any more coming up, go pledge them over in the ETL challenge! We can use all the help we can get! Now, back to the models.... I like the use of the beastmen head! Really conveys the since of animalistic instinct taking over, but not fully yet. I may have to try that sometime if you don't mind. Looking forward to seeing more from you! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231073-rylanors-wolves/#findComment-3077993 Share on other sites

Wulfebane
Good job getting the buzzed hair look. I was beginning to think I was the only Wolf here that does that. Your wolves have a great use of dynamic posing, especially your TDA guy. Very epic. MonSTeR
Can I just ask if you're using the "new" paints or the older colours, or something else entirely? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231073-rylanors-wolves/#findComment-3078722 Share on other sites
Brother Rylanor
Good job getting the buzzed hair look. I was beginning to think I was the only Wolf here that does that. I like the look of shaven heads better than plan baldness, maybe for some of the Long Fangs I might have plain Bald, but on angry heads it looks better. Can I just ask if you're using the "new" paints or the older colours, or something else entirely? I'm not using the new paints, but I am using GW paints, some of which are very very old my Space Wolf Grey is still in a six sided tub with a white lid, it's about 3, yes 3 paint sets ago. my Base colour is Fenris Grey over black under coat highlighted with my own mix of Space Wolf Grey and Shadow Grey ( i don't know the ratio as I mixed it over 3 years ago and it's in 1 pot, I would guess about 50:50 that's a bug maybe though. Thanks for commenting. Oh and to all here at the Fang I have pledged to paint a full 10 man Grey Hunter Pack and a WGBL for the ETL challenge, I will set up another post with with my progress. Brother Rylanor
Looking forward to seeing your pledge brother! How do you go about the buzzed cut look? For the Buz cut I mix a small amount of Elf Flesh and Codex Grey it gives a sort of pinkish grey colour, paint this on and then go over it with a wash of Devlan Mud which blends it all together. it's probably not the best way and there's probably better tutorials but it's my crazy way. Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
How do you go about the buzzed cut look? Here is where Wulfbane explains his process, post #20. He also talks about it a little farther into the thread, can't find the post right now... http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=246766 I can't seem to get it myself, but it sure looks cool!! Good luck on the pledge Rylanor!! End of Line Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231073-rylanors-wolves/#findComment-3079417 Share on other sites

Forté
Really strong poses. The kneeling guy and lone wolf in particular. Good work. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231073-rylanors-wolves/#findComment-3079857 Share on other sites
