You can be fairly sure you'll see leafblower style Guard (though without inquisitors as the allies rules have been taken away) razorspam + mephiston blood angels, shuriken cannon spam Eldar, and Raider spam Dark Eldar. Probably razorspam Wolves as well. There may well be Grey Knights of various descriptions, I'm not sure that the list has been around long enough for a "optimum" build to be developed for Knights yet.

 

Thunderwolves are cool, but they will be shot to pieces, however keep them cheap enough and they can provide a distraction without reducing the units you really need.

 

At 2500k, GK actually will be able to field a fairly nice list. I would expect lots of psyrifle dreads, 3 Heavy Support and maybe even a venerable psyrifle dread included as well. Then I would expect Paladins, Paladins, and more Paladins with whoever it is that let's them become Troops.

unit of WG (powerfists for GH, CML for ML LF) (200 - 250)

GH!!! rhinos and droppods, I'd go for a mix of 3 / 3, the droppod ones mostly armed with plasma (1200 +-)

scouts and a ven dread, if taken as sizable (+- 200 each)

That would be Lord Kaldor Draigo, and if you see a lone power-armored guy with a sword, thats Castellan Crowe, and he can take purifier squads, which can have 4 incenerators or psycannons eah as troops.
