Heimdall Skullcrusher
Brothers, I tried searching this one out as I think I have seens something on it before but couldn't find anything. If you hit a jump infantry (jet pack more specifically) unit with MH, do they take difficult & dangerous terrain tests or just dangerious terrain tests? The jump/jet packs say they "jump over" difficult terrain, but MH isn't really putting any actual difficult terrain down on the board. I think it would be difficult to use a jump pack in a hurricane, but that is just me. Basically curious if the MH rule overrides the jump/jet pack rule. Thanks. hendrik
it does work , partially. they'll still be able to move 12" but they do have to take the dangerous terrain test Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231248-murderous-hurricane/#findComment-2781133 Share on other sites
Heimdall Skullcrusher
Yeah, thats how we ended up playing it (just dangerous terrain tests). I just figured the difficult test would slow down the crisis suits from running away from my pack of grey hunters. No worries though, I got them in the end. Does that mean I can force deep strike scatter and mishap table on them every time they move? MalachiOfRuss
This one has had me thinking for awhile. I have think nagging feeling that the original intention of the power was "skimmers and jump infantry move as if affected by Difficult terrain, and treat it as Dangerous." Maybe that'd be too powerful though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231248-murderous-hurricane/#findComment-2781226 Share on other sites
hendrik
most likely it was, since only some ash can put down half the worlds airplanes so to speak but unfortunatly that's not how it's written. it only says that they treat all terrain as both difficult and dangerous while the rulebook says "when using jump packs, they can move over all other models and terrain freely Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231248-murderous-hurricane/#findComment-2781238 Share on other sites
MalachiOfRuss
If it was only one or the other, I'd rather have them slowed than have a 1 in 6 chance of dying. Toasterfree
MH makes units move as if they are in both dangerous and difficult terrain. means that when they move, no matter how, on a 1 they take a wound. when they assault they roll for diff terrain test. simple. done. no questions Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231248-murderous-hurricane/#findComment-2781318 Share on other sites
