old git
I know they don't exist anymore (or do they?) but for the time they did exist they must have fought some battles/campaigns. Is it mentioned anywhere what their colours were, where they were based, combat doctrines etc? I can see a lot of wulfen being included (succumbing to the curse rather than controlling it like the 13th co). It would offer an alternative to the Wolves of Fenris, however brief a period of imperial time we're talking about. Anyone? Rikochet
I always got the idea that the Wolf Brothers had similar colours to the Space Wolves, but rather than blue they have a slight purple tinge to their grey. But In reality, I have absolutely no idea. Reading the battle of the fang might give you an idea as to what you could do with an army, I cant say anything else without spoilers though! lothbrok
definately get it it mentions their first chapter master and homeworld. as for colors i'm pretty sure they used more or less the same as early wolves. Skirax
I used them :) But only with Tempus Fugitives' Campaign pack for the Scouring (Which had Wolf Brothers) and the rules were very balanced; at the start of the game, for example, role a D6 for every Grey Hunter or Blood Claw pack, and if you get a 4+, then they gain Fearless and Furious Charge, it was great :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231567-wolf-brothers/#findComment-2786492 Share on other sites
elithren
Well, I count my wolf pack as Wolf Brothers who found a way out of the webway (haven't read Battle of Fang so not sure on added fluff), stole an imperial navy freighter and made their way back to the fang only to have Logan explain that the imperial highlords dont want them so go do whatever and dont get caught( summary of fluff, not actually how I wrote it). I can't find anything on their colors so I just made up my own silver and green scheme. Valerian
Well, I count my wolf pack as Wolf Brothers who found a way out of the webway (haven't read Battle of Fang so not sure on added fluff), I have no idea what Battle of the Fang did with them either, but the old Studio fluff from WD 244 or 245 said that the whole Chapter disappeared into the Webway chasing after a fleeing Eldar force in M37. That would have had them serving for over 6,000 years as a fully functioning organization, and gone (e.g. "ill-fated") for less than 4,000 years. Other than this, I know of no fluff, until this new Black Library novel, that has ever given any details on them: no details on homeworld, leadership, colour scheme, nothing. I hate when they do stuff like that; especially when it isn't a necessary, or particularly interesting improvement to the background material. Thus my dislike for the Black Library continues. eyeslikethunder
While it fits the story in BOTF and the hints in the codex. It does feel like a wardian(bad) fluff change. I know he had nothing to do with it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231567-wolf-brothers/#findComment-2787513 Share on other sites
