That line really made me laugh..such good memories...just like a lotta other people those were the days when I first got into 40K and GW in general. Superbright colors, awkward poses, bad anatomy...you name it, the minis had it ;) Still I never wanna miss those beginner days, when only a tiny FLGS in my hometown had those shelves full of bio-genetically enhanced superhumans plus all the other xenos scum :) Consider this topic tracked, as well. A Wolf Guard with two fist's (expensive but cool and pretty effective too) I'm planning to give him full squad of Blood Claws to lead. I got my hands on a full squad of those old grey hunters a while back, didn't even had to strip them - no paint at all! I did what you did, gave them some of the new stuff to give them some bling! In particular I wasn't very fond of the old arms, gave them new ones with swords and stuff, but kept the old school bolters in some places.
