Brother_Fatiswon Posted June 9, 2011 Share Posted June 9, 2011 i was always under the impression that the Left shoulder pad was the one that would have the "high ridge" and that in regards to your dark angel mini, that the should pad on his right, should be his deathwatch left shoulder pad. totally could be wrong about that, and not saying this to detract from your minis. KnowThyEnemy Posted June 10, 2011 Author Share Posted June 10, 2011 ah and the son of sanguinus and the smurf right? :rolleyes: i actually have considered all of those. the blood angels will be represented via the dreadnought a la lamenters chapter. the ultramarines will be the tank commander for the LR achilles. the son of russ however was a quandry for me. i originally thought of using the guy screaming with lightning claws (great model) but i wasnt sure if i wanted to convey all the trappings and pelts or go through the effort of cleaning them off (would be a bit of a shame, had enough trouble with sammael). and i already had the veteran with claws (trying to have everyone unique). theres still a slot open for a PA guy in the storm raven (9 guys + 1 captain + 1 champ + empty slot) because im going to put the 3 termies in the achillies (which is hopefully still transport 6 like the experimental rules). i have the perfect ax to represent a frost blade, just no shoulder pad. i will give it some thought for sure. as for the paint, ill work on it this weekend :). it took me so long just to decide who got what shoulder pad, the dremel work and the poses and such, just had to take a nice breather Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dark angel: http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/product_info.php/...lder-pad-p-1536 Blood angel: http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/product_info.php/...lder-pad-p-6724 and of course the Standard: http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/product_info.php/...ulder-pad-p-393 Now, on a Normal marine in house with his own chapter: the right shoulder displays to which kind of unit his is a member of. The left shoulder shows the Chapter he belongs to. During a Tour within Death Watch: chapter is shifted (via repainting by tech marines or the marine himself) to the right while the death watch Icon and high ridge shoulder is granted. But it seems to me that certain Chapters (Dark angels in particular) have their own Death Watch Icon shoulder pad, but according to fluff it would still be worn on the LEFT and painted sliver as well as the arm and gauntlet of the marine's power armor. so in the short and sweet, you have a couple of super fancy death watchers with dual high ridge shoulder pads.. the other Watchers are going to envious and that's going to led to some one getting soul-jacked by Slaanesh or a hive mind on a space hulk some where out in fringe of known space Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
