depends on what you usualy use those heads for. with me, they symbolise my wolf priests, so it'd be a bad idea for a predator (altough, I do use a wolfheaded stormbolter-toting gunner on one of my rhinos, which I only use when my stormbolter toting Wolf Priest is in that Rhino...
I'm about 90% my predator.quick question.if im going to put a gunner on the top can i use a Wolf head instead of the head supplied?

Why not? I mean.. are you asking permission or is there some sort of technical issue I'm missing.

just wondering thats all.

Grey hunters drive he tanks,right?

Grey Hunters are the exclusive unit for all SW vehicles (save planetary defenses and spacecrafts - that's for serf-thralls). Their baseline stats are what all SW vehicles use.

And if you were meaning the "wolf head" helm, then yeah, I would think that were a bit much.. but IMO, it's your army. Do what you want with it. It might end up looking pretty damn cool.

I'll never use that head, let alone for a priest, I like the one on my old metal one but there was no need to make a plastic version of it IMO.

So i don't see it as a token of power, A GH in a tank would have close ties to a Ironpriest and even have some sort of friendship thus making him that helmet.

I'm on holiday when at the moment, but in three weeks time when I get home, I'll join this if it hasn't finished.

I vow to complete a 6 man squad of Grey Hunters including a wulfen, meltagun and pack leader and their transport, a Razorback with assault cannons.

I'll also probably add more to my vow at some point.

okay, here's my first (and second - thank you phone problems) WIP.

I spent the longest time on the positioning of that gun arm, and it still isn't right. I'm also starting to think that the weapon itself, although unfinished, is too large. I was going for that high-powered/serious gun look, but right now I think it just overbalances the model. I'll work up a smaller one and see how it looks. Annoyingly that'll be the third combi-plasma I've made for this guy; the first one had an ill-conceived bull-pup design that resulted in a weapon too tall to fit under the model's arm. d'oh!

The head on the right figure is the final head. You can't see much of it in that image, but it's a jungle-fighter with most everything above the eyes shaved off. I also narrowed the chin and pointed it slightly, because those catachan heads are fairly cartoonish.

He's yet to have his hair sculpted. I'm thinking something like the old school PA WG with sword. Astonishingly, the only picture I can find of him online was of a poorly painted ebay listing, and I couldn't get it to embed the image. I've spent quite a while looking, so if anybody knows of a site that archives pictures of old space wolf miniatures I'd be grateful if you don't keep it to yourself.

Here's a wip one I still have lying around. I probably have an unprimed one somewhere, but at this hour, I didn't feel like digging through boxes. Hope this helps.

Well, after a long and arduous time getting motivated, I have finished Arjac Rockfist. With whom I am quite pleased, so here are the pictures I took of the finished model.

Enjoy!!

End of Line

I like the pose and the model looks great.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm an advocate of the blue-grey in the "Which grey are you?" debate, but this shade and amount of blue looks very Ultramarine to me.

Shadow gray always turns out more blue on a picture than it is in real life, and when using a flash you go to the ultra blue

I will admit that I am not a fan of the grey grey, and as Max has stated they are a deep blueish grey. I use 1 Fenris Grey 1 Codex Grey 1/2 Bleached Bone and 1 water as my base mix. I then wash with Azurmen Blue. So yes they are more deep blue because I cannot stand the baby blue/grey look.

Think of it as my own.
