starhawks
hey, I don't know if anyone remembers any of my other paint schemes, but every single marine I have ever painted has been crisp and perfect, which is how I paint best, but I've always felt painting this way is unrealistic and frankly kind of lame, so I thought I'd have a go at some really dirty, gritty marines who haven't cleaned their armor in a month or so. This is what I came up with, I know they look like lamenters or imperial fists, but I intended for them to be my own chapter http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t91/valos11/100_0406.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t91/valos11/100_0405.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t91/valos11/100_0404.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t91/valos11/100_0403.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t91/valos11/100_0402.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t91/valos11/100_0401.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t91/valos11/100_0400.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t91/valos11/100_0399.jpg
Interrogator Stobz
Very nice shading, they seem a little unfinished without the cables, purity seals and other gubbinz painted a little differently to the armour. Also the bases seem a little visually flat. Your skill is obvious, I just think they need a bit of a 'lift'. Realism, i.e. cammo doesn't really fit with TDA. stobz
mromeo1987
i'd really like to see these under a daylight bulb. i'm having a little trouble getting a clear picture of the color scheme. the highlighting looks very well done. my only comments are: some of the inked areas look to have pooled a bit, possibly quickshaded? the chapter symbol is, well, you could do much better. just don't sell yourself short, your painting skill seems to be there, show us some flair with a chapter badge. Brother-Captain Sharp
If you open the picture in Windows Picture Manager or a similar program (many computers with a basic picture editing tool), you should be able to correct the white balance. For example, this is the first picture after I have used my HP's photo editor: http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj236/sesharp/Other%20models/Yellowmodel.jpg I suspect that is closer to the actual shade of the model, yes?
