Aidoneus
I should start by saying that I really do love the model for the Dreadknight. I think it looks amazing! The only qualm I have with it is the pose. It's just standing there, looking really, well... stupid. So without changing anything about the way the model looks, I chopped apart some joints and worked them around into a move dynamic pose. I also happened to have half a rhino lying around (long story), so I threw that in for good measure. This is currently a WIP. The Knight is pretty much done, but the Rhino is going to become 1) more beat up, and 2) very obviously Chaos-y. There's even going to be a dying chaos marine crawling out of that open hatch on the side. What do you think? http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j88/Aidoneus42/DSCI0009.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j88/Aidoneus42/DSCI0008.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j88/Aidoneus42/DSCI0010.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j88/Aidoneus42/DSCI0013.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j88/Aidoneus42/DSCI0007.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231879-my-dreadknight-re-pose/ Share on other sites

The Holy Heretic
Nicely done. You just need to stretch the terminators 'sword arm' :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231879-my-dreadknight-re-pose/#findComment-2789772 Share on other sites
Grey Knight 1138
That is a cool idea. I just may have to steal it as I have not really started on my DK. ;) I cant wait to see it painted. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231879-my-dreadknight-re-pose/#findComment-2790003 Share on other sites
number6
I like it LOTS! :) To me, it says, "Yeah, I just did that. And I'm gonna do the same to YOU next!" Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231879-my-dreadknight-re-pose/#findComment-2790838 Share on other sites
Red Lost Soldier
Really nice work, definitely stands out. Incinerator and Sword really flow with the pose. Did you change the knee joint on the right leg or change the hip attachment? Aidoneus
Thanks all! Nice to hear one's work is appreciated. I'll definitely post pictures when it's painted (possibly also when I convert the rhino). RLS: The right leg and arm were 90% of the work. On the leg, I had to alter the hip, knee, ankle, and one of the toes. On the arm, I altered the shoulder, elbow, and wrist. Come to think of it... that's all the joints on both of those limbs. :P I also had to straighten the termy's right arm a bit, and bend his right leg. The really fun part was taking a dremel to that Rhino. ;) Can't wait to go to town again to add battle damage. tom.hagen
I agree, i like the model but the standard pose is really boring. I did something similar with my dreadknight. http://www.coolminiornot.com/282659 http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/1482/bild2us.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231879-my-dreadknight-re-pose/#findComment-2813277 Share on other sites
jerry
Is that a 1979 ford mustang? The tech priests must have been doing some serious archaeological digging on terra to find that  Looks absolutely brilliant can we maybe get a coulpe of side and rear pictures. tom.hagen
1967, same as my real one  The logic is that the mustang got sucked into the warp at some point. I gonna do the rear of the car with my next dreadknight so that i have the whole car when i put them next to each other  Will upload some more pics later! Aidoneus
Got the Dreadknight all painted up for the tournament last friday. Finished the cursed thing at 3:30am the night before. I think it turned out well though. Take a look. http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w44/Aidoneus43/DSCI0227-2.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w44/Aidoneus43/DSCI0222-2.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w44/Aidoneus43/DSCI0225-2.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w44/Aidoneus43/DSCI0223-2.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/231879-my-dreadknight-re-pose/#findComment-2816147 Share on other sites
