Decided to jump on the wagon and make a thread that has all the WIP projects I currently have. So far i've got 4 PA projects on the go and about 2-3 non PA projects as well. (Decided that variety is the spice of life, whenever I finish one part I can move onto another. Edemia Posted June 20, 2011 Author Share Posted June 20, 2011 Thanks MagicMan, if it's one thing I know how to do, it's undercoat models :-p Onto a minor update, been busy sorting out the house and preparing a new painting area for myself, plus got a non PA Competition Entry that i'm currently working on for the GW Glasgow Birthday Bash Finecast Competition this Saturday. I have however got some Assault Termies built and primed. Ignore the mould lines, they'll be gone when I start to actually paint the model. Unfortunately it was actually Gloss paint, so it came out shiny, however after being advised by a guy in another hobby store in Glasgow to try spraying Flat Clear onto it, I did and it seemed to have worked. Still not sure on the red however, trying to figure out how to dull it down a wee bit as it's a bit bright. It's just the model from the Legion of the Damned box with the axe chopped off and a Blood Angels Icon glued in place, and a Blood Angels backpack as well. When I first saw the model (I was going through loads of different models as I wanted to see what I could use to build a complete Blood Angel's chapter) and thought he would make an awesome chappy model. I'm hoping they bring these guys out in finecast as the arm with the bolt pistol and massive skull shoulder pad would be cool for anyone wanting to make a kitbashed chappy. The thing about the sergeant (I need to get a pic of the other side of him) the story behind him is that his leg was blown off from just above the ankle, so he's leaning against the lamp post for support as he carries on the fight. The other dude with a bit of scenery on him as well is jumping over the wall as there's a missile landed just at the bottom of it that he's jumping away from. Edemia Posted July 14, 2011 Author Share Posted July 14, 2011 So, while I was bored tonight (and seeing as how for some reason my attempt at red didn't go very well, but i'll let you guys be the judge) I decided to finally try out a colour I used ages ago that I fell in love with, as a DIY Space Marine Chapter colour. Without further ado:- Blood Angels Terminator:- With this guy it's just the torso bit where his head sits that I've painted red, i've yet to highlight it, but at the moment i'm still not sure about it http://i963.photobucket.com/albums/ae114/Edemia/My%20Blood%20Angels%20Chapter/RedTermie.jpg And then there's this guy - only thing is i've never used any kind of green before so i'm unsure as to what colour to use to shade the recesses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
