Nrthstar
So stage 1 of painting pink foam is to coat it with something before using a spray primer on it to avoid death gas. I got that. So I went option B and coated my foam with cheap Apple Barrel black acrylic paint with repeated coats to seal it up. Looking at it though I don't see the advantage of priming it now too with some Krylon. So the question is, my rock wall terrain is painted black, what should I prime it before applying citadel paints to it? Is there an advantage I don't know about? Thanks -North Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232280-advantage-of-priming-pink-foam/ Share on other sites
barry_hhh
as long as there is no foam showing you should be fine , if you want some texture and in some fine sand with some cheap paint and brush that on , also if you really want to make sure its sealed , you can add some PVA glue in with the paint . templarboy
Are you really using citadel paints on terrain pieces? I use the really cheap stuff personally. Citadel paint is like $1000 dollars a gallon. Egad. Too bad that I used all our craft paint when I was a kid, and now I don't know where to find the stuff around me. Michael's doesn't have it.
