Rune Priests, Long Fangs and Fire Control

Assume, if you will, that I have a Long Fangs Pack with Missile Launchers and an attached Rune Priest. Very simple question - as the Rune Priest is part of the unit and "Fire Control" stipulates that the unit splits fire, can I shoot the Rune Priest in one direction and empty Missile Rounds into a different target or would I have to fire at least one Missile at the Rune Priests target to split fire.

RAW, I'd say the first option but it seems a little... chisley. :) What does the Fang think?

First option. Don't know why it'd seem "chisley"... whatever that means. If the Squad can do it, so can the Rune Priest. If there's no limit on how many must fire on a target, then yes, it's perfectly fine.

Pick up to two targets for the unit. Figure out who out of the unit is going to fire at each target. Shoot.

So, when a Rune Priest, or any IC is attached to the Long Fangs, it is fine for them to target one unit, while everyone else targets another. Treat the IC like any other member of the pack.
