This figure stands about 6 inches and was made from a Iron Man 2 Iron Monger , and apoxie sculpt , then mold abnd cast. I am still working on molding the weapons , and i still have some clean up on the figure before i decide which chapter to make it. hendrik Posted June 18, 2011 Share Posted June 18, 2011 looks great! the only thing i would change a bit would be the pauldrons. if you look at the space marine models you'll see that they reach higher because the curve starts higher. this is also because a terminator by GW his arms start at the same height as his head etc. are these intended for sale because if so it might be interesting to place some foil over the breastplate etc and sculpt various capter emblems over the foil. this way you could insert magnets and make him able to be any chapter you would wish ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
soulbrother73 Posted June 18, 2011 Author Share Posted June 18, 2011 Thanks Hendrik , the pauldrons i know are a little lower than they should be but just prefer a mre normal proportion in action figures , not that the GW marine has anything wrong with it , just i like figures to be anatomicaly correct . The suggestion with the badge is actually what i had in mind , i made the figure pretty blank so later i could add iconography of any chapter even Chaos. Thank you for the tips. Here is what i got sofar , I decided on Legion of The Damned for my first fig , i also finished casting most of the wepons and the sheilds. I added some new parts like a powerfist , i am working on a chainfist attachment you can see in one of the pics. I gave him a flameing chalice on his back made from apoxisculpt and hot glue and since i drilled a hole in his back i decided to start working on a missel launcher . soulbrother73 Posted July 25, 2011 Author Share Posted July 25, 2011 Hey guys thanks for the compliments and the advice , i definately plan on shortening the chainsword and adding better teeth and probably thicken it up a bit. I use Aves Apoxiesculpt , they definately make the best sculpting compound . I am going to paint the LOTD fig the other is for another person .As for how many i am going to make as many as i can as long as my molds hold out and i can always make new ones , there are alot of chapters i want to make and atleast one full squad of termies.
