Aegnor
Graham McNeil throws in a tantalizing mention right at the end Linky, along with the news he's finished Outcast Dead. Suspect it will be another limited edition job though :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232476-fulgrim-novella/ Share on other sites

A D-B
Graham McNeil throws in a tantalizing mention right at the end Linky, along with the news he's finished Outcast Dead. Suspect it will be another limited edition job though :cuss I really wish they'd just announce these properly, as the confusion is everywhere. Primarch novellas: Aurelian is a limited edition novella about Lorgar. The Primarchs (or whatever they call it) will be an anthology next year (a la Tales of Heresy and Age of Darkness) featuring 4 novellas about primarchs that haven't had much facetime yet. I think it's Fulgrim (Graham), Alpharius (Rob Sanders), Ferrus Manus (Nick Kyme) and the Lion (Gav Thorpe). Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
i would rather see the Khan, Night Haunter, Russ (his appearances in a Thousand Sons and mentions in Prospero Burns leave alot to be desired) and Vulkan. and alot less of this "limited edition" bull:cuss. its frustrating that i cant throw money at a company because they overcharge for a novella and then barely release the damn thing. RamrodMC
I think A D-B meant characters that have already been introduced but have been relegated either to supporting roles or to one-off appearances. Black Library probably intends to introduce new Primarchs with big books showcasing them prominently, like The First Heretic did for Lorgar, or A Thousand Sons did for Magnus. Son of Rawl
More Iron Hands is great as they need something more than what they were in Fulgrim, not sure about Gav doing Lion' El Jonson though as I want more 'Savage Weapons' Lion. ADB why do you do spoil us all so much Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232476-fulgrim-novella/#findComment-2796544 Share on other sites

Aegnor
Cool. You have mentioned that in the past I recall. Will be compulsory reading... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232476-fulgrim-novella/#findComment-2796619 Share on other sites
Perrin
Is there really that much else to read about Ferrus :S I thought that his character was explored enough in Fulgrim, its not like he is important to the rest of the Heresy. ninja6fett
I'm really curious about the Alpharius novella. Too much exposure could really ruin the mystique of him.... Or it could go someway towards illuminating the loyalties of the Alpha Legion..... I don't know though... the mysterious nature and inscrutability of the Alpha Legion is a major part of their charm, delving into them from an insider standpoint could backfire horribly. I also wonder which Fulgrim we will get. Daemon Fulgrim or actual Fulgrim? Daemon Fulgrim hasn't been explored at all really, while actual Fulgrim is pretty fleshed out at this point. Lastly, I would like to ask for more Corax! I'm really happy the Horus Heresy is getting around to doing more with the Raven Guard, and I hope Gav integrates elements of the Raven Guard from Mcneil's Ultramarines books. I thought he represented them and their stealthy nature extremely well. Gunslinger87
Well Corax is going to get his own novel soon (as we saw from the cover on BL a while back) so that's one reason for you. I think we'll all get something interesting eventually... I'd rather they have a great plan and sequence of events and have to wait for my favourite primarch (and probably find some new favourites along the way) than get 50 stories about everything in quick succession and no logic in it. I think they are going about it in the right way. One thing I am still missing a little bit is a "good" primarch really doing some "good". We've all seen the greying of the traitor primarchs and the sometimes completely legitimate reasons for their fall and a great deal of dirt falling on the good guys... what we're missing are some great heroics (along the lines of Horus at the ennd of the first novel) by those guys that remain loyal. Dorn, Guilliman, Sanguinius... dunno... i know its coming but still... :-) Battle of Calth should do it :-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232476-fulgrim-novella/#findComment-2796887 Share on other sites
Brannick
At the end of the day the HH authors are aware of our thoughts - Aaron is here regularly so he is bound to mention bits and bobs about what the populace thinks when he is within the BL team meetings. The HH team work to a far greater projection as they probably know what is coming out up to 2015 (if not beyond), whereas we can only speculate and hope. Master Ciaphas
Hey Sounds interesting - those are four Primarchs that I will look forward to reading about. As for the authors slated to write about them, I think Graham will do nicely for Fulgrim, but I don't think I have ready anything by Sanders or Kyme yet (save for a single short story called Hell Night (I think). That Gav Thorpe is doing the Lion is - IMO - catastrophic. He f***** up "Purging of Kadillus" and showed only mediocre skill in "Call of the Lion" story. His "Path of Warrior" (an Eldar book) was really good, and he captured the atmosphere very well - but the man simply cannot write about Astartes, even if his life depended on it... Shame really, as I am an avid fan of the Dark Angels.
