The emperors chosen
So I'm planning on making a radical ordo xenos inquisitor retinue, and I had an idea. I want to use an Eldar model in it, as a mercenary type character. I would make it a Warrior Acolyte with carapace armor. Do you think this is an ok thing to do? maturin
I'd be ok with it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232508-henchmen/#findComment-2796702 Share on other sites
Demoulius
sounds fluffy to me :) so long as you explain it to your opponent i doubt anyone will have a problem with it ^_^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232508-henchmen/#findComment-2796713 Share on other sites
Stormshrug
Yeah, nobody will mind. You might get some "Love Can Bloom" jokes, but I expect that would be the worst of it. Now, a poorly disguised Eldar (or Ork) - that would be comedy gold! -Stormshrug Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232508-henchmen/#findComment-2796716 Share on other sites
Focke
I would be quite fine with that, and in fact think that it is a good idea. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232508-henchmen/#findComment-2796835 Share on other sites
Chengar Qordath
As long as it uses rules out of the right codex and the model wouldn't cause serious confusion (and in your case it doesn't sound like it would), I don't get too bothered over what the model looks like. JaqTaar
There're quite a few Inquisitors around who employ aliens and/or use alien technology, so there's no problem with that. I'd say that the basic human profile of the warrior henchman doesn't really fit an Eldar though. How about the Death Cult Assassin, perhaps as a temporarily allied (instead of hired) Harlequin? Lord Ragnarok
Sounds good to me as well. =][= and henchmen scream characterful conversions/modelling. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232508-henchmen/#findComment-2796956 Share on other sites
The Shiny One
Aren't Eldar Pathfinders Mercs anyways? So even a Henchmen with only a 5+ save, would be ok. Maybe a Stormbolter could be a good stand in for a tuned Shurikanrifle. Seconding this. Death Cult Assasins are very eldar-like. Perhaps use a howling banshee? Harlequins are a bit closer in terms of statlines (same WS, Initiative, and Save) but either would probably be an acceptable stand-in.
