Capt. Kenaz
I just bought a box of the new GK power armor models, and went right into putting together the marine with the two handed daemon hammer pose. IT WAS MADDENING! I used too much glue, could'nt get the arms to line up corect with one another, the weapons haft, not the model's torso!!!! My question is simple: Is there a trick to the assembly? Do you glue the amrs 1st, and then attache it to the torso? Any experience with this new kit would be much appreciated! Thanks! Darkmagi
To be honest I had the same trouble with my first one, so on the next three I magnetized both the shoulders and the hands so that no matter what i was able to get the right position... took 4x 1/8x1/32 magnets and 4x 1/16x1/32 magnets each but it worked! Now all the hands and weapons fit just right! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232511-gk-power-armor-box-set/#findComment-2796958 Share on other sites
Ashe Darke
With the two handed weapons I tend to glue the storm bolter arm on to the weapon hand and then when that's good and solid glue the rest on from there. It also helps if you use the right arms and weapons unlike my first 3 guys which I had to take apart. tubby131313
I use a thin layer of glue (usually testors) to hold the arms on the model, then before the glue sets I attach the weapon at one of the hands and move the arms into the correct position. Once the glue on the wrist is dry I remove the arms to paint them. If you are having problems with too much glue I suggest putting the glue on a piece of cardboard and applying it to the model with a toothpick.
