So i've just finished up my first attempt at converting Khârn to a pre-heresy kinda guy, i'd be interested to hear any comments on it! Painting's pretty poor and i'm not to happy with the axe, but early days and all that. thanks!

First and most immediate impression is that you need to thin your paints by a fair bit. Several thin coats preserves the detail much better than obscuring features with one thick coat. Ok it may be a slower process but the end results will be much better. Try a smaller brush, or one with a fine point tip for getting into the awkward areas. Other than that the colours look spot on for a pre-heresy World eater.

Khârn the Vorpal Bunny? I will say having the bunny ears leaves no doubt that is supposed to be Khârn.

Check out some of the tutorials in the painting and converting thread...a few good ones on painting white...which is almost as hard as painting yellow or black.

White paint is super hard to get right. You'll want to base in like a very light gray spray paint, then do repeated washes of white - letting each coat completely dry before applying the next - until it's smooth and consistent.

It takes me a long time to do my solid white shoulder plates; I don't envy you for a solid white marine. @_@
