Favourite moment in the HH series

A 'proper' moment in the series that always made me go 'awesome' was when Leman Russ howls in 'A Thousand Sons' and it's so loud and horrifying to the Sons that some of the Thousand Sons actually die.

Wasn't that due to a psychic shockwave he gave off? Sure being able to shout psychic nuclear bombs capable of killing people is still awesome, but I don't think even Leman Russ is so great he can scare marines to death by raising his voice.

You are correct. A psychic shockwave emanating from Russ's ferocious anger.

Who cares? The fact that Leman Russ is so much the man that his voice can kill people is awesome in itself.

My favourite two are

When Logar meets the Emperor and is chasties all the while saying "But you are a God". As his world crashes down around him

and

The fight between the Lion Cruze. The mad hatred between brothers torn apart. They hate what eacj other stand for and what they have done, but they are still brothers.

I changed my mind. I have a new favourite now from Flight of the Eisenstein.

Its when Dorn leaves the room after hearing about the heresey from Garro and Oliton, and Mersaide starts crying. Garro ansks her if its for them. She answers: Its for him bacause he cant. You and I just broke a brothers heart and it will never mend.

It made me all choked up reading it

I'd say a couple of good moments are when

Lucius actually decides to betray the Loyalists on Isstvan V (it allows you to dwell on what a despicable git he is) and when the World Eater Captain Skraal in Battle for the Abyss toward the end of the book decided to take on the Word Bearers Captain Zadkiel (yes I looked up their names) despite being warned it was suicide. World Eater to the core. He always fought like he was a mentalist in that book. :P

Oh, easy...

When Lorgar and Corax meet on the battlefield, and Lorgar is left stunned at the depths of hatred and rage in the usually stoic Corax's eyes. Most epic confrontation so far in the Horus Heresy. Especially +1 for Corax, man. I almost ran off to start a Raven Guard army right then and there!

When the Emperor Kills Horus

Ah shoot I went an ruined the whole series for everyone and gave away the ending B)

what the- oh wait a minute

ha ha, i see what you did there...ha ha, you were trying to make an ironic joke, by "spoiling" the series, but everyone knows how it ends. ha ha ha ha :P

The scene where Corax is just ripping through the Word Bearers in First Heretic. Oh and the entire Flight of the Raven Audiobook.

Two of my favorite moments are when

Sythran is holding off the entire ship..... by himself

and

When Magnus is fighting Russ and Ahriman wants to help but realizes "Magnus had no expectation of surviving his duel with Leman Russ"

. That part just gave me chills.
