EEG
I am thinking of trying Mr. Surfacer 500 for filling gaps and 1200 for priming. Seeing as how they're a bit more expensive, I'd like to know your thoughts and experiences any of you guys have had before I go and buy some. winterdyne
Neither are particularly good for gap filling when compared to a decent putty. 1200 is a superb primer - you get a velvety sort of finish, very nice. 500 is excellent for cast-iron effects. Stipple it on with a tank brush or drybrush/other flat-ended brush. EEG
Some of the websites and youtube videos I've seen for filling gaps and seams involved Mr. Surfacer 500 and it seemed to turn out nicely. But while on the subject, and since my Green Stuff should be replaced, what sort or brand of putty would you suggest? -thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232744-mr-surfacer/#findComment-2800678 Share on other sites
winterdyne
Oh right... yeah, it'll smooth out seams, and get sanded down nicely if you want it to. It's just not so good for larger holes / gaps.
