Brother Excedis
Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and I really like what I see. Some of the work here is absolutely amazing. But to get on topic.... I've been working on a DIY Blood Angels chapter called the Legio Angellus (latin for legion of angels). I made some sternguards using some extra sanguinary guard and death company bits but I only really like how two of them came out. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for how to make 3 more for a more robust and rugged setup cause mine just look weird with the pointed helms from the sanguinary guard. I'm not very good with robust posing (i.e. making a kneeling marine) but I would love to give it a try. Also I am terrible with sculpting and green stuff but again a try is definitly worth it. Thanks! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/232769-sternguard-conversions/ Share on other sites
Roesor
My sternguard were incredibly simple. Knight headed tactical marines from AoBR plus standard bolter with scope on it. facmanpob
I used some DA parts to make my Sternguard Sergeant, as I thought the pose conjured up images of striding purposefully to war! Hyaenidae
After some massive kit-bashing, lotsa chopping, greenstuff work, fine jewelry chain, a bunch of trophies, and a rogue trader-esqe scheme for the paintjob.... Squad Minos, I Centuria (The Pride) Detatchment, of the Marines Malevolent. Currently assigned to the IV Centuria (The Poisoned) during their recovery and rebuilding. Really, just take whatever theme is prevailant in your army, and magnify it tenfold. Then put those ideas onto your Sternguard. ;) Good luck on your build!
