Your point is?

Just because the brotherhood champ is a cool dude, shouldn't he be allowed to buy that extra bling. Remember Grey Knights are supposed to be the rap stars of the marines, we get private jets, super terminators, hang out with the universes coolest hitmen and wear gigantic teleporting mecha, and then some people start to obsess about a little offensive jewelry :P

its probibly meant to be master craft

That would at least make some sense.

It's a dumb mistake born of laziness. There is no excuse for making this kind of mistake. At least it's a harmless mistake with no other effect than to make us scratch our heads in wonderment.

weird that you bring that up. while i was there the other player got the idea of pimp knights with gold armor, purple trim, and red capes. we all thought he was joking, until he bought a box.

In my mind this is further evidence that Matt Ward plays Blood Angels and not Grey Knights. (I went there.)

Mat Ward is not solely to blame. There is supposedly an entire Design Studio at GW. And they supposedly "thoroughly" playtest their new rules. (How often have we heard about "all the playtesting" in White Dwarf upon a new release. Almost this exact phrase is in the current WD in reference to Fantasy Storm of Magic.)

This error should have been caught. Would have been caught if GW actually did any amount of quality control.

As I said, I'm grateful the mistake is ultimately harmless. But it is nevertheless indicative of GW's abhorrently sloppy quality control.

Does this mean that I can make Nemesis Pimp Canes for my models to count as Nemesis Daemonhammers?

Have to agree there; Mat Ward making a mistake like that is understandable; nobody is perfect (and I found out from making a fandex just how easy it is to mess up one or two rules when writing a codex). However, for all the editors, testers, and everyone else besides Ward to also miss the goof-up is ... much less forgivable.

This. Again. Matt Ward still being allowed to create new army books and rules for both of GW's systems is a massive FAIL on GW's part.

Mistakes always get through in games rules, the problem is that GWnever do anything to sort them out for months. Then the FAQ answers a load of questions that nobody asked in the first place.
