Nice to see it all together and it never hurts to have some wheels (it does hurt a little in your wallet and bank account :( ). What colors did you use to paint the Red Corsairs? After looking at yours on the 4th GC forum, rereading Blood Reaver, and thinking about the future of some of my Astral Claws I want to add a few pirates myself. So far...I haven't gotten a red that I fancy. I like the tone you achieved with some of your marines like the one with the mutated arm. lokkorex Posted June 21, 2012 Author Share Posted June 21, 2012 it's dead easy; it's just: 1. basecoat mechrite red. 2. wash devlan mud. 3. layer mechrite red. 4. layer a thin coat of blood red. 5. highlight pur blood red. i'm not sure what colours are suitable substitutes for these paints, since i haven't got any of the new paints yet. lokkorex Posted November 30, 2012 Author Share Posted November 30, 2012 yeah, i know, (damn you thorpe, damn you to hell!). the weird thing is havoc launchers were dreadnought-only weapons in the 3rd edition codex, then became a everyone-can-take-one in the 3,5 book, and then the failure of the gavdex took them away completely from dreads. and for some friggin reason kelly decided to stick with gavs dumba** idea. i'll propably house-rule them, or just wait until i build some contemptors and give them hull-mounted cyclone missile launchers in addition to their normal weapons :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
