GK question

Recommended Posts

There is a GK ability that does something to units that is deep striking near the GK troops. I do not know the name of the rule.

My question is this. If a unit has a locator beacon that prevents scatter would it still be affected by the GK's special ability rule regarding units deep striking?

Thanks in advance.

The Warp Quake psychic ability disables all special rules within 12" that would prevent deepstrike scatters, while deep striking unit slanding within 12" would automatically suffer a deep strike mishap. While it would be possible for a deep striking unit do land both withing range of a working teleport homer and within the warp quake area (the teleport homer is outside of teh warp quake area and thus not affected), this would then simply mean that the unit can be placed without scattering. It will still suffer the mishap due to warp quake.

Unless Warp Quake affects both types of beacons..??

Warp Quake affects all types of beacons. As Legatus said, any device that would normally reduce or negate DS scatter is rendered useless when Warp Quake is activated within reach of it.
