I really like what I've seen of the power weapon effect, how was it done? Also, why have you decided to give only half the unit death masks? Doing the power sword is very easy after you have seen this tutorial. http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg810/scaled.php?server=810&filename=tutorialx.jpg&res=medium I think that the really important thing is to blend very well the colors and to use that scheme of colors. The difference and the contrast between the colors on the blade is another important thing. Try to follow that image and you will find that is not difficult to make the power sword ;)! You start with a mix with a little bit of schorced brown and then you add a little bit to highlight. I used to put on the mix also dwarf flesh :). Excellent picture tutorial! What kind of paints are those though? Is that Citadel, Vallejo or do you use oils or some other brand of acrylics?
