My Space Wolf force begins

Forté

Ok, so after plenty of years of modelling (on and off of corse). Here's the pieces I'm working on for the start of my Bran Redmaw Great Company of Space Wolves.

Firstly, the Grey Hunters (which are my summer vow and must be completed by August 1st!

Standard and start on a Hunter with the Mark of the Wulfen (which changed a little).

I didn't like the original pose as it was too upright, so, a little slate later and much happier.

And the rest of the pack (note the 'classic' metal bodies).

I also have my first Long Fang pack built so here they are, pre-primer.

There are two plasma cannons to add too, once I get them together.

Now to get some 'Halfords Grey Primer' and get painting... :)

I like the guy pointing his axe in like a Babe Ruth sorta pose. The narrative that evokes is very Space Wolf-esque, calling someone out on the battlefield, etc.

Thanks brother. One of my faves that one too.

Well...I can confirm that I now love Halfords grey primer. Pretty much the colour of the plastic and goes on so well. Now to get painting now that the main grey colour is already done that is.:D

First colour test.

-Halfords grey primer

-Devlan mud full wash. Think I'll restrict this to deep areas and outlines.

-deep sea grey/ Astronomican grey hl

-above hl with more Astronomican

-fortress grey edge.

If anyone knows a colour match for halfords grey primer you'll make me a very happy whelp.

C&C welcome.

Halfords grey primer.

Thin Badab Black wash.

Medium sea grey.

Fortress grey.

Elf grey.

And yes, there is some Elf grey in his hair on purpose.

Halfords Audi (?) platinum was a saviour for my grey knights. I had a little trouble lately with one of my grey cans being thick and stodgy compared to my other cans but overall I prefer them over most other primers. That grey you've got is gorgeous as well
