Machine God
Hello All. I had a brilliant weekend at the Badab War Campaign Weekend. Five action packed games, plus Boarding Action. I didn't win it but I also didn't come last. I actually won my first ever game of 40K, it was the Planetstrike Mission and I was the Loyalist attacker. My first battle was against Gary Shaw playing a Carcharodon Army. Lost. Gary picked up the Best Painted Army Award. The second battle was against Rich Allan playing a Disciples of Caliban Army. Lost. The third battle was against Dave Jackson playing an Ultramarines Army. Lost. The fourth battle was against Matt Anderson playing a Minotaurs Army. Won. The fifth battle I was fighting together with Nigel Arnel playing a Red Scorpion Army facing Chris Steel's Dark Angels and Marc Peteron's Mantis Warriors. Lost. The Q & A session with the Forgeworld Team was very informative. Alan Bligh is a character, very funny and full of ideas. A lover of the AdMech. I had a wonderfull time at my first time at Warhammer World. The place is fantastic although it was very hot in the hall as it had no air conditioning, although on the Sunday there some big fans sitauated around the walls that somewhat offset the heat but played merry hell with printed out Army Lists and Scenario Notes. The Beer was great and I made it all the more enjoyable by drinking it out of my newly purchased Leather Bugmans Tankard. The Secessionists won the Campaign.
