My Great Company

I'm finally doing it! finishing it up my Great Company - just got 8 more models to assemble and paint!

2 heavy bolters, 2 lascannon, 1 powerfist-combi melta, 2 melta-gunners and 1 standard bearer.

I've been mainly using some old school marines, as well as 3 space wolf packs to generally dish out the wolfiness. A few minor conversions here and there, kit bashing but not too much.

However, I decided to make a conscious decision to make a really kick ass model that can double up as a Grey Hunter or a Wolf Lord/Battle Leader.

Here goes; Cadfan Daemonslayer

Not entirely satisfied with the current look, especially the arm holding the standard. I was thinking of slapping on an armpad. Thoughts welcome...

I'd also go for a slightly darker brown for the wood of the standard, the way they strengthen wood by burning it slightly. for 40k, with all the chainswording and powerweapons, simple wood would never survive. it'd break simply by podding down.

usualy use scorched brown and black highlights.

just my tupence
