Requiemnex
Privateer Press has really stepped up their game as far as modeling goes. There are also several other companies that are starting to produce some solid miniatures at less than rediculous prices. Something Wycked
away from 'office' this weekend will post pictures asap I'm still waiting on these pics, you know. I must see them! :P We're all still waiting on those pics :D I wanted to point out another alternative- Sisters Repentia. Yes, they're $15 for three models, but its a better deal than $15 for a pair of genuine DCA's. Also, one of the two DCA models uses a single sword, so I don't think its that much of a stretch to use the Eviscerator-armed Repentia. Throwing this out there since some places may require GW models in their events. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/233293-death-cult-girls/#findComment-2842920 Share on other sites
Warsmith Aznable
Another thing we're overlooking is that Death Cult Assassins don't need to be female. The two models from GW are, but I am unaware of any source saying that they are exclusively female. That opens up a lot of other possibilities for stand-ins. Something Wycked
Absolutely. I'm reading the Grey Knights Omnibus right now, and the Inquisitor in the first part is accompanied by DCAs of both genders. I'm actually looking at using Chaos Marauders from the Fantasy range as my DCA's now- they're properly equipped. Not much armor, paired weapons... And they're plastic, and cheap! $35 for 16 models. Warsmith Aznable
Empire Free Companies come to mind, as well. I think they can be outfitted with two weapons a piece. Or Empire Flagellants, since they definitely look more fanatical, and can be fitted with two weapons a piece. And since it's wargear and there really aren't other options for them), Empire Greatswords might be cool, too. I love raiding WHFB for figures and bits. Something Wycked
Yeah, I looked at all of those, but I wasn't really happy with any of them. The Free Companies look very ragtag and piratey, and that doesn't suit my sense of DCA. Flagellants are... very zealous, but they look very Fantasy at the same time. Greatswords would be great, but I'm not a fan of their frilly-poofy clothing. To each their own, though, I'm sure those kits would work really well for someone's DCAs! Dr von Hohenheim
I've used the dogs of war 'Vesparo's Vendetta' unit as death cult assassins, and I think they look very appropriate. Not a cheaper option though unless you already have the models, as I did!
