weakest
Hey folks, you guys have any great resources for painting some gold. Pref GW style gold on say Ultramarines. I typically do a basecoat of a brown, followed up by some dwarven bronze, then shining gold, then washed with some chestnut ink and highlighted with mithril. I think im using too much ink and/or not thinning it enough as my gold always comes out darker than i would prefer. Pictures would be appreciated! thade
I do the base coat of brown, use dwarven bronze only for recesses, gold and tiny mithril highlights. I don't wash it at all. That's bound to darken it. If I want super bright gold, I base in white. ;) and I skip on the bronze.
