Okay depending on many variables, i am am in the begining stages of building a chaos contemptor dreadnought, for use in my army. after this dont expect much for awhile. but well yeah

After seeing the forgeworld contemptor dreadnought and looking at the experimental rules saying it can be used in a Chaos Marines Army, i thought finally a useful elites chose aside from termis, and chosen. then i began thinking of how to build one, first thing that hit me, i had a few Gundam models i had in my room, a orange one and a model of Gundam Virtue from the series Mobile suit Gundam 00, which probly wouldnt work. i found the orange gundam and took off the torso, then compared it to my ironclad im selling then comaring it to the pic of the comparsion betwwen the contemptor and regular dread on the forgeworld site, i had to remove the legs from the pelvis and the upper thighs, to make them somewhat the same size,

these are the legs

sorry about the quality of the pics, shot with my labtop's webcamera. so far i think the most difficult part will be the arms. R&R, advice is welcomed

i found wich suit i got the legs from, it was this kit

I think you're on the right track with the Gundam model legs, but I would avoid using the Gundam itself. Those tended to have long feet and look a little clownish. Try the GM or Zaku. They had more botish-style legs and I think will look a bit less anime-ish.

Actually, here's another thought: The Mas Production Version of the Gun Cannon.

And an image of the model itself.
